0800 Hrs you will be picked up from your hotel in Jaipur & transferred to Rusirani Village, an amazing place to experience the Rajasthani village, villagers, there lifestyle, traditions and culture. This village is located at a peaceful location, away from the noise and pollution of the city.
1000 Hrs we reach at Narayani Mata Temple - the site is a holy spring - an unusual source of water in a semi-desert land. We will visit this temple & from this place we will continue our drive for Rusirani Village by JEEP because of bumpy road over Hills. During this hill drive you will be surprise by the scenic beauties including lakes in the desert.
1100 Hrs we reach at Rusirani Village, Placed on a hillock far from the city environments, this is the ideal site to experience the rural life of a typical Rajasthani village where people are still living about 1000 years late than city life. They have no proper connectivity of road, transportation, communication. Even they have no electricity. The main draw of Rusirani village is its people, who are very friendly. The life here is full of verve, colour and traditional culture. In the village villagers like to host tourists like their guest. They cook authentic & hygienic local food for tourists. You will be invited by villagers to join in cooking, eating, singing and dancing activities like family members. One may be able to taste a hookah (is a single or multi-stemmed instrument for vaporizing and smoking flavored tobacco called shisha) with homemade tobacco. Villagers are very interactive and will participate in discussions, and share their experiences with tourists. You can visit the local market, which has a unique collection of artworks for taking back some mementoes.
The village also has few very attractive temples like “Neelkanth Temple” – A Hindu temple dedicate to Lord Shiva. There is no clear evidence concerning the construction date of the temple, but history suggests that this temple was built during the period between 6th and 9th century AD. The Temple is surrounded by lush green trees that add to its beauty. The temple is quite similar to an ancient museum. The temple is in a dilapidated state. Apart from its religious importance it is noted for its excellent stone carving. The exquisite fine work on the shikhara or the spire is still undamaged. The wonderful carvings of figures on the temple are worth seeing. Some of the pillars of the temple are severely damaged.
